Founded by Alexandre Brongniart, son of the architect of the Paris stock exchange and director of the Sèvres porcelain factory from 1800 to 1847, the Ceramics Museum houses an extraordinary collection of ceramic objects from all periods and all origins, in an encyclopaedic spirit similar to that of the 18th century.
