Museum

The Fernand Léger Museum is reopening.
In 1957, in the village of Saint-André, near Cannes, in a property acquired by Georges Bauquier, Louis Aragon, Elsa Triolet and Nadia Léger, a museum dedicated to the painter who had just died was constructed on the initiative of Nadia Léger. Donated to the French state in 1967 and opened by André Malraux in 1969, the museum houses works which trace the various stages in the painting career of Fernand Léger from 1905 to 1955.
