Guided tours
The RMN’s tour guides work in all national museums. Working closely with the museums’ scientific teams, these art historians welcome all types of visitor: individuals and visiting groups; French and foreign tourists; associations; school parties; disabled visitors, etc.
They present the collections to new visitors, offer themed tours tailored to the specific expectations of certain visitors and present temporary exhibitions.
Audioguides
Audioguides now enable the RMN to offer guided tours:
to visitors from all around the world. The audioguides exist in nine languages: French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Korean.
to disabled visitors. Adapted versions with audio-description are available for the visually impaired and in French sign language (LSF) or an induction loop system for the hearing impaired.
to young visitors, through a tour adapted to seven to 12 year olds.
Each visitor chooses to listen to recorded sequences (commentaries of works, historical commentaries, etc.) of their choice from a pre-recorded selection. They can therefore take the tour at their own pace, independently, particularly thanks to the device’s ease of use.
